Very tasty dinner here tonight. We had a great meal with great service. The restaurant itself is vey nice as well. Nicely decorated, clean, etc. Cauliflower starter was delicious. Very good amount of batter and very tasty dressing.
Took our entire family here for a birthday dinner, and was pleasantly surprised. Our server was excellent - very personable and helpful. Menu and food was excellent. Also a great selection of local craft beers on tap. Having given up caffeine, I can rarely enjoy an after dinner latte - but their entire coffee-based menu is also in decaf - a great touch on what was already a fantastic meal. We'll definitely be dining here again.
Food is good home cooked type meals. Portions are good too but about 20% overpriced. I expected something more creative restaurant quality for the price. Service was good to start but then slowed. The kitchen took 40 mins to produce our main course for a party of 4. We didnt have dessert as we sat there for almost two hours total. just needed to get out. We arrived on a Thursday night at 6:30. We may go back but not anytime soon. They need to fix their service and pricing issues.
We really loved this place. Great food, thoughtful service and a unique Canadian aesthetic & atmosphere. Lots of parking, diverse menu, and kind of unassuming from the outside. Oh, and chicken & waffles! They really get the gravy right.
Attended Sunday brunch for my Birthday. Made the reservation on-line noting it was, in fact, my Birthday. No special notice was given, and the server was inattentive during our visit.I had been here before with my Dad, but it was a first for my Mom and partner. My Dad and I talked it up as our previous experience was very good.I was left feeling insignificant by poor service paired with my Birthday going unnoticed. I don't want to be sung to, but a piece of cake with a candle or complimentary mamosa might have been classy. The food was good. Our cups were left empty too often and for too long.
