I showed up pretty early, right when he was first opening. EXCELLENT SERVICE, the food quality was on the same par, the gentlemen was very kind, so was the lady who came in next. They also allowed me to add my business cards to their collection. 5 stars is and under rating, especially considering their prices! It is a definite recommendation, and am looking forward to when I have the time to come back, again and again!
I placed an order with them through Skip The Dishes. There was an error on the address so we called the restaurant right away to have the address changed and the gentleman we spoke to quickly change the address for us so the food will get delivered to the proper place. We even called Skip the dishes to confirm the address was correct and they confirmed it as well. The food gets delivered to the wrong address still. So we called the restaurant for some assistance, and he starts to yell at me saying that he cannot help me and that it’s not his problem. Zero level of customer service skills, zero level of respect for paying customers and zero level of professionalism. I believe his name was Mohammed, who claimed he was the store manager. I do not know how places like this have managers with low level customer service skills tha run the business. If this so-called manager would’ve at least shown some respect, courtesy and even an ounce of professionalism, it would’ve been a different experience, even if he couldn’t help us. Very upsetting. I, and I hope others will never give these guys another dime of their money.
I wish I could leave no stars whatsoever, but unfortunately, I can only leave one. This order was taken through skip into my error. I ordered to the wrong address. I called to get it updated and the person over the phone said they did that. The address was still wrong on delivery and when I called to see if they could fix it or make it right, the man ended up cussing me on the phone, which is very unprofessional.. There is no decorum at all coming from these people that now work at this restaurant. I couldn’t believe that someone that owns an establishment actually swore at a customer with the phone that was being polite.. Don’t go here. I still don’t have my order and I’m out 55 bucks and they refuse to refund me. I want to speak to the manager, but then when we asked to speak to the manager, the man Continue To be rude to us us and hung up the phone.
WE haven't been here for a long time. I was shocked at the prices for breakfast. Nearly $18.00 for an omelet? Now it has 6 eggs, but so what. Make it 4 eggs for $14.00. The service was good, food was good, but I still left with a bad taste in my mouth. Will not be back.
I was told 2 minutes until my order was done, 5 minutes later I ask again and get told 5 minutes more. I’m a little personally upset that I was told a completely off time but just say nicely that I’ll skip this order and to have a good night. When I do that the cook / cashier loses his temper and starts yelling at me. I say it’s okay I’m not angry even though I am just to calm the tempers and he starts going off more while I slowly walk to the door. I try explaining that other uber drivers will come and he starts yelling incoherently at me about no uber drivers coming. The order had a tip and since I cancelled it, uber will increase the base pay to get someone to pick it up. He just keeps yelling and cutting me off so I leave. I do uber a lot, I’ve never seen a store act like this without being prompted. I said sorry, thanks etc and was all polite even though I was given a fake time that in the end according to the guy would be 5x the original wait. I called the store the next day to speak to a manager or supervisor. I didn’t know what race the guy was so I said, “apologies if it isn’t his race but I think the guy who cooks who is jamaican was very rude” and was then told there wasn’t a Jamaican. I said I don’t know what his race is but he was of a darker skin colour (his race isn’t the issue of course but I was trying to describe the worker I was dealing with) and got told again he wasn’t Jamaican. I forget what I said next but was told for a third time he wasn’t Jamaican. I finally get a little annoyed and push to say, “alright, I understand that but the guy, who is of darker skin colour that cooks, was very rude” and the manager talks down to me and says he is Sri Lanken. I say okay and explain my situation more and after I’m done she says, “are you done?” And I say yes, have a good day and hang up. Extremely rude experience on both ends and I can promise I wasn’t hostile going into this as I know what it’s like to have a customer who is upset with something out of your control.
Surpassed my expectations this is a solid no frills breakfast joint where you can get simple breakfast done right at a reasonable price. Keep up the good work! 4/5 ⭐️
We’re a group of friends who love reviewing breakfast spots—a bit like a book club, but with breakfast! The I-Daybreak Café was an excellent choice. The waitress was clearly overworked, but she did an amazing job keeping our coffee cups full, even as the place filled up. The eggs were cooked well, and the bacon was perfectly prepared and generous in portion. Prices were very affordable, making this spot great for casual gatherings. Our only suggestion would be to add some artwork to tone down the cheerful, bright walls just a bit.
