Great experience. Loved the vet. Dr. Sugi. She was artiulate and compassionate. She kissed my little dog. Considering switching here from my regular vet.Other 24 hour clinics (the other one in Whitby) ripped me off and charged an insane price to see my sick dog years ago. King Hopkins offers a standard rate, regardless of day/time. I was so thankful for this. Took my dog this morning on Thanksgiving day. They were $75 for a visit. King Hopkins forced the other 24 hour in Whitby to finally bring their absurd price down to $99 (less than half what they wanted before). Will never go anywhere else for an emergency. Excellent staff. Caring vet. Reasonable rate. Dog kisses Thank you!!!

Thank you so much king Hopkins pet hospital for all the love, support and respect that you have given to me and my pets. Recently we had to go through tough times with our little furry family member who was deteriorating fast over the weekend and we knew it's time to make hard decision. We took him to KHPH.It was our first experience and we were very unfamiliar with the process. Front staff took the time to respect our privacy and made it a very smooth process for us. Vets were very attentive, they listen to us, gave us options. Did few tests, discussed the results and decided it's humane to euthanize at this point. We felt so much better after knowing what was wrong with our pet and said good bye with clear conscious and proper closure. Thank you very much King Hopkins pet hospital.

I am mostly happy with this place, but my last few visits I've had some issues.Pros: Both the vets I've seen recently were quite nice! Unfortunately I've forgotten their names, but I had to go to put down an elderly cat recently and everyone, including the generally less-than-spectacular front desk staff who do the initial exam before the vet comes in, handled it amazing. I was also in recently for a regular check up for another cat and the vet was quite nice and helpfulCons: The front desk staff are just not that good. They need some serious retraining. I have been given attitude, billed the wrong amount (this was taken care of weeks later), and most recently, one of them led us to the exam room and was going to clean the table. No worries, I'm holding my cat in my arms waiting. She tells me to put my cat on the scale. She then proceeds to start spraying the cleaner on the table, as my cat is put on the scale, meaning he is basically being sprayed. Unimpressed, I quickly remove him from the area, only for her to say "don't worry I'm not gonna spray the scale" which made me wonder, first of all, is the scale even clean, and second of all, what part of her brain told her it's okay to spray anything (especially a cleaning product, even though I'm sure they use some "natural" stuff there, don't even spray water near my cat please) literally an inch from my already nervous cat? It was wild and I didn't get an apology or even any acknowledgment that she messed up. Later on during the same appointment, my cat is taken to the basement for some blood work. One of the employees is carrying him back upstairs in her arms, he's clearly very uncomfortable/upset, yet she stops on the stairs to have a conversation with other employees. She has a firm grasp on him, but he's hanging there, upset, looking at me. She should have either handed him over to me (the crazy person saying "oh hi cat's name, it's okay, I'm here") or put him down in the exam room then walked back to have the conversation.I think the issue here is that working with animals, every day, desensitizes you pretty quickly. You start seeing so many of them that you don't think of them the way the owners do. And that's understandable, but my cat is my baby and I refuse to just accept anything less than perfect treatment. So when I pay large sums of money and my cat is treated with any less respect than a human would be treated with, I am sorely unimpressed.Would I recommend this place? If you need a 24 hour vet or need a quick appointment, sure. If you can wait, no, I'd probably consider going elsewhere.

We normally have no issues or complaints with King Hopkins. We have been coming for a 1.5years since we got out dog. The only issue I have is that sometimes the front staff are not very nice, lack of Smiling and monotone. The 2 vets we have dealt with have been nothing but great. The only issue I have is the last time i went they tried to tell me we had an outstanding balance which is not true because my husband paid for it and then charged me for a test that i was made to believe was already paid for. I couldn't give them a full 5 stars. As i feel that the initial encounter walking in is the base of how the visit will go. But the care we have received for our dog has always been good.

Nice Staff! Clean and cute facility!I took my cat Leo in a emergency and We were welcomed and treated asap. Since the beginning I felt Leo was in safe hands and I had peace of mind.
