I got boots here. The customer service was wonderful. He was very helpful. Gave me the time to find the right pair for me. I got thick calfs. I used then for the season and they were a huge win so happy I got then. I got out 18 times last season. Excited for this year.
Bought my 3 kids boards, boots, and bindings for Christmas. The owner was great and easy to do business with. Quick turn around on ski tune up as well.
My son needed new boots, ended up having to size up his board & bindings as well. The gentleman working was very helpful and knowledgeable in getting my son all geared up for the season. After touring around north durham, Oshawa and whitby, scotties was our last stop (furthest from home) but next time it will be our FIRST STOP!
Just have to say that this place is amazing! I had an issue with one of my snowboard bindings. I had worn out one of the ankle ratchets and I needed a replacement. The gentlemen behind the counter knew exactly what I needed, looked behind the counter, and provided me with a replacement. Definitely going back here again and wishing them continued success!
Went here for boots. I was getting calf pain with everything I tried on. I am so happy the first one I tried on doesn't hurt. Can't wait to try these out. Staff was friendly. Nice it was a no tax day. Great little store has a lot of awesome things.
A hidden treasure for skiers and snowboarders in downtown Whitby! Wide collection of gears, good price (50%off end season sale) and above all friendly & patient services from Scott. Beats Sport Check shopping experience in a second. Got my little girl's 1st set of skis and boots there and she absolutely likes it. Highly recommend checking it out before you hit the slopes next time!
If there was an option for no stars I would choose that. Where do it start... went here because I am new to skiing and bought twin tip skis second hand and needed the bindings remounted to fit my old school ski boots. Brought them in and the owner stated it would need a tune up and a remount costing 75$. Me being new to skiing, I agreed and took his word for what was needed. They were to be ready in a few days which was fine with me. I go pick them up and they appear to be ok, but being new to skiing I didn't know any better, I pay the 75$. Later that day I decided to go to sportschek and check out ski boot sales. I found a great deal, same boot size of the current ones I had. I brought my newly mounted and tuned up skis in to make sure my new boots would fit the bindings that were just remounted. Sportschek refused to touch them or even let me put my newly purchased boots in the bindings, claimed they weren't safe. Not knowing what to do as I was planning a ski trip the following day. I googled local ski stores and decided to proceed to a local place. When I arrived they told me they would work on them and have them ready. The following day, the local ski store calls me. They said the newly remounted bindings were mounted crooked and not even. Also that there was a crack in one of the bindings Scottie's should have mentioned and didn't also the binding were missing a tread pad which Scottie's failed to mention. I was clearly very upset. I had wasted 75$ at Scottie's on a poor job. The local ski shop was amazing and replaced the broken and missing piece at no change because they felt bad. The next day I called Scottie's. I was told he can't take blame for the unbalanced and crooked remount or the missing piece. I asked if I was able to get my mount back for that. I was told no, he can't be sure the bindings weren't damaged by me skiing. At this point I hadn't even used them. So disappointed..
