Yay - so glad to have a Play It Again Sports in the area again! I don't know why, but it's the only place that can sharpen my skates PROPERLY. I haven't been able to find a good sharpener since the previous whitby and pickering locations closed. Tried so many places and kept having to go back to get them to redo the skates... but finally I go here and they do it right the first time. Thank you!
Excellent service. 1on1 help was very appreciated. Went to 2 other stores beforehand to get sized right for hockey skates and equipment for beer league. Without paying an arm and a leg. I have Size EE Flat feet with very little arch. Was helped immediately and with expertise. Had them heat moulded to my feet on the spot and NO More PAIN! Equipment was sized correctly to me and I feel super confident to play. Thank you!
I walked in and four or so employees were at the cash talking. All turned to look at me, no smiles, nothing. After about 5 seconds one said, “How’s it going?”. I replied “good”. No one asked if I needed help or what I was there for. I walked over to the skates and was trying them on. After about 10 mins one employee came over and asked if I was doing okay. I told him I wasn’t sure what size I should get. He said it should be the same as my shoe size, but I explained I’d just tried a size smaller than that and it felt big. His advice was to “try on as many as possible.” He said to let him know if I needed anything and turned to go. I asked if they had helmets with cages and he said they were two aisles over. When I went to that aisle (after finding what I felt were okay skates, guessing at my size), I saw only new helmets so bought one of those. I didn’t realize they had used helmets until after I paid, which would have been helpful info since I paid twice the price for a new one. At no point did anyone working in the store have an expression other than when dealing with me. Service with(out) a smile. I wasn’t expecting anyone to be falling over themselves to help me, but being marginally friendly or kind would have been nice. They got my money this time because I was already there but I won’t be giving this location my business again.
Awesome shop and great, helpful knowledgeable staff. We geared up our 8 year old all star there with quality used and some well priced new gear. Every purchase is worth every penny.
I’ve shopped here twice and both times I’ve had an amazing experience! I got a brand new snowboard helmet for a great price, much cheaper than other places I checked online. Second time was for a brand new ladies set of golf clubs and used bag. I traded my old ones in and opted for store credit (you have the option of taking cash as well) to offset some of the cost of the new ones. Really happy with my clubs and the cute pink and black PING bag I got for a steal of a price! One stop shop which made it convenient for me to get rid of the old ones and upgrade my set. Don’t let the size of the store fool you, this place has a great selection and friendly staff that go above and beyond to help you!
Now I know why the people who work there are the way they are bc the owner has the same kinda attitude Worst play it again around had a problem there emailed the owner and it's been like a month and still havent heard from anyone
Very helpful staff and thankfully the only place NOT price gauging on fitness equipment during the pandemic! Will continue to shop here and have already recommended two a few friends
