It has a lot of historic significance to the world, regarding WWII, but unfortunately nothing much has been done. Google search it. Other than a few flags and a small wall/monument on site, very little else remains.
It once was a nice place to go. Unfortunately with all the damage to the banks and closed access to the water it looks pretty trashy
