Dr. Candace Issac is lacking in compassion and the most unprofessional doctor I have ever encountered. Family Care Medical Centre is poorly run, mismanaged, disorganised and has terrible doctors. After my daughter’s bloodwork came back Dr Issac said there was a possible diagnosis. Before we had officially confirmed the diagnosis via further bloodwork and ultrasound Dr Issac began discussing the possibility of infertility. Not only is my daughter only 15 and this was presented in an abrupt manner, it was totally inappropriate as the diagnosis was yet to be confirmed. Imagine telling a 15 year old she may not have children. No focus or discussion on positive outcomes or options, just negative unsympathetic and no compassion whatsoever. My daughter left the appointment balling her eyes out. We returned in a few weeks to get vaccinated and the nurse asked us to wait in the doctors office. After waiting over an hour the nurse came in to tell me she wasn’t sure what vaccines we were supposed to get. Not sure?!?!. They are the ones who called me to say the vaccines arrived. When they looked on their system they had no record of what vaccine it was. At this time the nurse asked me if I had any questions for the doctor and starting typing the questions I had . When the doctor finally appeared she was extremely agitated. Although we were the ones who were waiting over an hour and never complained once. Dr Issac then asked me again what vaccines we were getting. Ummm… she is the doctor, shouldn’t she be telling us based on her records? She was the one who requested we come in for the vaccine. So then I said I had a few questions for her. Remember the last time she saw us she dropped a bomb and told my daughter she MIGHT have a serious diagnosis and so understandably we had a few pressing questions. Also the nurse ASKED ME if I had any questions. When we presented a question Dr Isssc then snapped at me and raised her voice. She said ‘I am very busy and have other paying patients so I am NOT going to answer your questions. If you ask me again I will terminate you as a patient’. Not only was she unprofessional, rude, unsympathetic and lacking in any compassion but faced with a possible serious diagnosis, instead of addressing my sweet daughter she storms off. Hey it’s flu season I get you are busy and overworked but she couldn’t even take ONE minute to answer our questions. Then goes as far to threaten us she will terminate us as patients. I urge you not to bother seeing this doctor. I have visited doctors all over the world and never in my life been so disrespected. Finally I won’t get into the poor behavior of receptionist Connie. There are SEVERAL reviews written on Google reviews here that cover her inappropriate behaviour so I will just say all of the negative reviews are bang on. Please save yourself the trouble and go to a different clinic where patients are treated as human beings… with respect and dignity. Family Care Clinic Garden Street is the WORST!
I am Dr. Isaac’s patient.Doctor is very good.But one receptionist was so rude to me just for requesting an appointment on a particular day and asking how long walk In may take time.She has no time to listen anything.
I just got off the phone with the rudest woman named Connie on reception I understand sometimes it may be busy or overwhelming but she told me I couldn’t book an appointment with a doctor that I just booked an appointment with just yesterday. Even though I’ve booked three appointments with two different doctors at this location. Even if for some reason I’m unable to book another appointment the way that her tone and the way she handled the situation was very rude and completely unprofessional. I usually had good interactions with the doctors and nurses but after that call I don’t know if I’ll go back.
My family goes to Dr. Issacs. She is very friendly and professional. We have also had encounters with Dr. Dawood for walk-ins and he was also very good. We have never had issues with the receptionists, and the pharmacy in the same building is convenient.
As a family we have going to this clinic and they. My daughters have been seeing Dr Cecutti and Dr Nathoo since they were babies. And Dr Nathoo is very good with children. Fairly recent had the privilege of seeing Dr Isaacs. And I can she is fantastic. I she is the first Dr in 55 yrs has actually listened to me and dismissed me. And addresses my needs. She makes me feel confident . And very skilled in diagnosing issues. Especially an issue that has been plaguing me for over 20 years when many Drs were not able to. I would so a great thank you to her. I always expect a long wait as it is walk-in but they let me know how many people ahead of me. And I estimate 10 mins a person and come back before that time and let them know I’m back. And even a people ahead of me that’s ok. Only once I have felt uncomfortable with how one of the receptionist spoke to me. Every has a bad day and not speak before they think I’ve done that. It happens to everyone. We are only human. Praise to Family Care Family Care Medical Center.
Four years ago, I need to get refill medication. The clinic phone was busy all the time. I walked to clinic but the clinic manager did nor helped me rather she asked to talked outside. After Dr. Dawood called me and he said " you are threatened our office manager that you will kill her. We are not accepting you anymore." This clinic is treading patients as their sleeves. Now, I have a wonderful family doctor with wonderful employees.
Even though they advertise as open, when you get there they are closed, an hour before their official closing time. Beware and check before you go, laughing when you ask to see a doctor does not give a good impression.
