I had a great experience at this store. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to answer my questions about where their meat comes from. I was specifically looking for beef and chicken raised under more ethical conditions, and they assured me they had personally visited the farms they source from, which gave me real confidence in their products. The quality of the meat was excellent, the whole chicken was tender and flavorful, and the steak was top-notch. It’s refreshing to find a place that not only cares about quality but also about how the animals are raised. I’ll definitely be coming back.
I've ordered delivery from this shop on a few occasions. They delivered promptly and the quality of the product was good. It was grass fed and finished beef. It tastes a little different from grain fed beef. The flavor is a bit more gamey, like a wild animal. Some of the steaks we received were huge. 1 steak could feed 2 adults.
Expensive like everywhere else but I will say this is the first time in ages that I have enjoyed a lovely chicken breast that was not stringy. I understand it is because it is grain fed, free range, flash frozen and handled with care by the Amish that makes it THE BEST. Parking was a struggle but worth the two trips around the block to find a spot. Super nice service with a smile. Knowledgable and fast.
Alternative options in abundance, great local natural food to choose from. Great Location and hours. Friendly knowledgeable staff always there to answer all your questions! Love the natural chicken nuggets for a treat for our daughter. So pleases this shop exists in downtown Whitby. Being your own grocery bags! Almost always a parking spot right out front!
Friendly, knowledgeable staff with farm to table food. The plain sourdough bread is phenomenal! I get my eggs and bread here and both are great. I’ve recently tried their bacon and will be adding that to the list when I go there as well! It is a little on the pricier side, but I think most of it is worth it! :)
Fantastic meat, great place to have in town. If you appreciate good quality food this is your jam. Days later I still think about that delicious steak
Sorry I have to update this review. Been buying for awhile and everything is still pretty good, except that I emailed them about the burger quality going down and not being able to seperate them after they had been frozen any more. My concern was during thier transport to the store it seems the burgers have been thawed a bit, turned brown instead of pink and mishsapen into a ball that once frozen you cannot seperate them individually without wrecking the burger. Unless your thawing all 4 patties and eating all of them at once, which I never have done yet. 1 star off for burger quality going down, 1 star off for no one emailing me back. I spend a lot of money at your store, so sorry HM but this was an easy email to respond to. Onto my old post. Healthy meats is excellent! My wife and were looking for an organic meat store and this store had the best quality and the best pricing that we could find hands down. The taste of the meat and the chicken is absolutely incredible! Great job healthy Meats!
