I have frequented this location and the Dufferin street one at North York and the amount of meat they put in the sandwich is very less at the Whitby location every time. The end and beginning of my sandwich always had no meat, making almost 1/4th of the sub meatless! Never had this experience at north york. Open your sub and check next time and you'll agree with me.

This is my second time visiting this firehouse location. The first time was when they just opened up and although it wasn’t the best sandwich I’ve had at a firehouse, it was understandable considering the circumstances. I just went by again today and not only have the sizes shrunk and the prices gone up (probably franchise wide), the actual sandwich isn’t that great. Second time and both times were not the same premium firehouse experience I’ve had from other locations. I would go to a different location if you’re looking for a proper firehouse sub.

I dont know if anyone else has gotten sick from this place lately. I have. I bought the Brisket Hat Trick sub. While I was eating it, I remember saying "ugh" when I took a bite--like something tasted off. I put the rest aside, thinking to eat it later. When i went to it the next day, I didn't feel right about eating it again. Something about it was off. I decided I I take it back to Firehouse Subs on Taunton, in Whitby. I spoke with the franchise owner about the incident and mentioned that it gave me diaherra for 2 days. I said I paid over $20 for the sub, and I think I should get my money back. He said absolutely not because I bought it 3 days ago. I said I was sick with diaherra for 2 days. My thought is if you are incapacitated, is it wise to drive? The only thing on my mind when im sick is how do i get better. Here I am, 6 days later and I can't walk without pain. I'm constantly going to the bathroom, I am in constant pain and may need to head to the hospital today. I just cannot believe that this franchise owner will not be held accountable for giving me what my family believes is food poisoning. This is my only platform to warn others to go there at your own risk. Any place of business you purchase from has the responsibility of giving you something that works and/or does not make you sick. A place of business that does not have a head office or anyone to hold them accountable for their actions should not be in business in Canada. I almost forgot, the pickle was really gross. Soggy and warm with a metallic taste.

I’m very disappointed, I ordered a turkey bacon ranch sub and when I got home and opened it there was no bacon on it! Wasn’t worth the drive back but how do you miss that it’s literally in the name?? Turkey BACON ranch sub

I placed an order through their app to pick up a large Hook & Ladder sub. Stopping in to grab my order, the place appeared extremely clean. The restaurant was well presented, and the staff were friendly. I took the sub as carry-out to eat at home. It was very good, piled with meat, the toppings and bun were fresh, and overall, I was very satisfied. My only gripe was that my pickle was dry, at first glance the skin appeared fresh and glistened, the cut side was wilted and leathery... Overall it was a positive experience, I will return in the future.

Dropped into Firehouse Subs last night, first time. Great service, extremely clean and the sub was amazing. Fresh ingredients and tons of meat. Extremely filling. Will definitely be back.

Went here for lunch today and ordered 2 salads. Most of the lettuce in mine and my friends salads was brown and slimy. I also had two cores in my salad that were also brown. It’s safe to say we will not be returning here in the future.
