I Recently had a special runners medal and info framed at Frame by Design and it turned out perfect. My daughter had been very specific in the layout etc and Stormy and Chris were so very helpful. I recently visited the store to have a pair of basketball jerseys and memorabilia framed together. Stormy was the one who consulted me on the job. She advised that it would be a custom order and would take some time to complete. I let her know I was in no rush, and we discussed how best to frame the items. Unfortunately, the other employee present was not helpful and repeatedly gave sarcastic looks and rolled her eyes at my questions. This made me question if my job was doable based on her reactions but I ignored her attitude and was pleasant with Stormy who was primarily helping me. Stormy provided approximate pricing and next steps, promising to update me by the end of the week with more firm numbers and dates. However, after the week passed, I reached out for an update, and she advised that she would call me by that Friday. Again, there was no follow up, and at that point I decided to take my business elsewhere as it seemed as if Stormy was making an effort, but it also seemed like she was overwhelmed. I saw no point in leaving my memorabilia there to potentially be a rushed job where I wouldn't be happy with the final result. Unfortunately, when I came in today to pick up my items, the initial lady who was rude to me last time was at the counter. I respectfully asked for my items as I would be taking them elsewhere. She immediately started making excuses instead of providing me with my items. I dismissed her poor response and let her know I wasn't going to stand for this kind of attitude. I proceeded to pick up my items from the table around her and took them to the opposite table to begin packing them up to leave. Stormy came out of the back room, and I let her know I was picking up my items. I thanked her for her time but let her know I had decided to go elsewhere due to the lack of communication and follow-up. Stormy admitted that they had been backed up, but her timelines on getting back to me kept changing with no real explanation or feedback. As I did not agree with this, I thanked her for her time and continued packing to head out the door. This clearly upset them further as they continued providing excuses and suggesting I was in the wrong. They were clearly unhappy with my decision, and unfortunately, this evolved into a disrespectful tone and name calling as she said, "I'm not the only person that comes in here" and that I was being "completely out of line and ridiculous" as I walked out the door. It is very unfortunate that this did not work out as I had hoped because I specifically reached out to support a local small business after speaking with the owner Gio a few months back and he advised that I come in and they'll see what they can do for this project. This leaves me with a negative experience and limited options to be able to get my items framed for display.
I came in with short-notice framing needs of a custom size for my artwork, and Stormy & Chris were great to work with - together we discussed the best possible solution, and I’m very pleased with the timely results. I have had framing done here before, and will definitely be back - I couldn’t be happier to support these down-to-earth, friendly professionals in my local community.

Embarrassingly, I walked in for the first time today with very little sense of what they do there (asked about stretcher frames in stock). Sometimes salespeople (esp in smaller specialty shops) don't look very kindly on that, and get impatient. Instead, the team there was very kind and gave me the pitch on their services and encouraged me to browse. Every question I had (I typically have a few) they treated me with lots of good nature and patience, and although I chose something very inexpensive in the end, when I mentioned needing to ship a large canvas they offered and gave me a couple of large sheets of cardboard to walk out of the store with. Amazing customer service, they went the extra mile and were very approachable- even if you're a little "extra" or unsure of what you need ;)
