This was the first time leaving Fred, the hound, in an overnight boarding. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was relieved to see the many dog runs with wading pools and trees for shade as it was a hot weekend. Fred was put into the dog area with a big maple tree and lots of friendly dogs. I paid for some one on one time and pictures were posted of that and playtime too It made for a relaxing weekend for me and a fun time for Fred. Thank you. Fred can’t wait to comeback.
I witnessed some concerning behaviours from two staff members. I observed instances where fear and intimidation were used as training methods within the big dog kennels. For example, I observed two staff members yelling at the top of their lungs at dogs when they wouldn’t listen right away, which caused visible distress among the animals. Although I understand that managing multiple dogs can be challenging, I believe that positive reinforcement should always be prioritized over fear-based tactics. I am saddened to see the response from the owner. I would have hoped the care for the animals, that is what I think a professional business would handle this. I also have my proof that I let myself go, after the second day, as I have morals and values.
I recently boarded my ragdoll kitten while I was on vacation and I had a fantastic experience! I had never left her before so I was extremely nervous but the staff, especially Kaitlyn, were beyond exceptional. They responded promptly to any concerns I had, kept me updated on how she was doing, and provided daily pictures. My cat is a little picky with her food but they were able to accommodate to her and provide their own food so she eats more. They even went as far as leaving her food on her blanket and cleaning it every day since she refused to eat out of a bowl. The personalized care and attention she received was impressive and really gave me peace of mind while I was away. Will for sure come back and absolutely recommend Brooklin Pet Care to any cat owner!

From the initial inquiry to the drop-off and pick-up, the staff members were knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure that my pup felt comfortable and loved during their stay.
From the reviews I read about your boarding facility, I thought my kitties would be able to cope but when I picked them up, they were totally traumatised. I am dismayed that they were so unhappy.
Brooklin pet care saved us with a last minute reservation when we needed to be out of town. They took excellent care of our very high energy pup who had a great time playing with the other dogs and splashing in a kiddie pool, and were very understanding when he tried to be an escape artist. He came back to us tired and happy.
I have been taking my dogs to Brooklin Pet Care for both day care and boarding for about 18 years or so. My dogs (6 over the years) have all loved it there. My current 2 dogs know when it’s daycare day, are excited to get in the car to go and start barking and howling with excitement when we’re almost there. The staff has always been great, recognising and working with my dogs different personalities and play preferences over the years. They’ve picked up on health issues a couple of my dogs have had really quickly and let me know of possible problems before I spotted them so we could deal with them ASAP.
