Brought my wife's CRV in for a seized rear caliper and suspected issue with front struts or balljoints. I've had our cars in here a few times now and they have always been quick and honest. I worked at a shop years ago and it's nice to see mechanics like this. They always show you the defective parts they have replaced. Very well detailed invoice as well. These guys have been top notch everytime I've been in there.
George and Mike helped me with a very last minute brake job on NYE. My car was not in safe drivable shape and they wasted no time getting started. Fast and impeccable customer service. Turned my whole day around for the better. I did not feel any sense of dishonesty and I was well informed of any charges or decisions being made. My advice to anyone is don't wait until you cause damage to your own vehicle and take it in asap to be looked at! Great guys and I will return for smaller routine maintenance if needed. Thank you very kindly to these hard working guys!
Mike and all the other Mechanics at Speedy are amazing!! You won't find a more honest Mechanic than Mike. I have been using Mike for over 20 years and would recommend him to anyone looking for a great Mechanic!
Used to alternate between Speedy Muffler and Midas muffler, over the years, in the different cities I’ve lived in. I have owned around 12-15 different cars. Started to notice that generally, Speedy Muffler seemed to b more honest about the repairs on my car than Midas Muffler , like on brakes, muffler, etc. ). So I started going to Speedy only. (Because I felt I could trust them). Out of all the Speedy’s I’ve been to, the Whitby branch was the best one. Often they would even fix minor problems at no cost! Who does that anymore! Even better, the staff and owner are still the same people 20 years later, unlike other car service places where there is frequently a new guy at the service counter that is not familiar with my car. In this day and age I really value having people I’ve known for a long time service my car.
The craziest thing to me is the fact that more people are finally complaining about your company. I’ve heard lots, never doubted but looks like I should.
I had a muffler issue and had booked to come in at 4 pm for a free diagnostics. I arrived around 3 instead and from the beginning over the phone and when I walked in, the same gentlemen I dealt with was very friendly and reasonable. They walked me through the problem and immediately took care of my vehicle and made me feel comfortable in their shop. It ended up costing around 550 for a part that I needed with labour, but they recommended that I don’t waste my money on that since I’m selling my car soon. Instead, they had a temporary solution and fixed my muffler problem free of charge and insisted that it wasn’t a problem for them to do so and not charge me. ( any other shop would most likely charge 80 dollars for the free fix they did) I would highly recommend this place to everyone as they have EXCELLENT customer service, are knowledge, and do a good job. I will definitely be back for future repairs/maintenance as they left an awesome impression.
I had two brake lines break one day. They were able to take my vehicle in in the early afternoon and replace the lines before they closed and in less time than quoted. I'm very happy I came here.
