Right from the start when we first let you know that the situation was grave, you indicated that you would take care of everything and would contact us at the appropriate time. During our meetings, you welcomed us as though we were family. We never felt rushed or pressured and all of your suggestions were valid and most helpful. No detail was deemed too insignificant and, knowing this, we could rest assured that everything would be done beautifully. Thank you to everyone involved. We where so satisfied with the friendly service, we felt like Rick was part of our family, he treated us with so much respect and guided us trough all the process and preparations for the funeral, very experienced and knowledgeable, I felt very well and also all my community, we where so surprised with the place and how beautiful it is inside and outside and we appreciate all the options he provided for us including the casket it was really beautiful and appropiate, I never expected such excellent professional service and how they welcomed us and our loved one, we where experiencing a lot of pain and we felt accompanied!., I will recommend anyone Barnes Memorial Funeral Home.
I would like to thank Rick, Melissa and the staff at Barnes for their patience and care in the planning of my mom's funeral service. As the family, we meet with them at a time when our thoughts are not clear - we're very emotional. We have many questions and concerns and they were wonderful in answering all of these for us. The day of the service, you are able to arrive and have no worries - it is your time to remember your loved one and visit with those paying respects. The celebrant - Phil Smith - has a way of meeting with you to discuss your loved one and then is able to deliver a service that is very personal, almost as if he knows the individual. I had attended a funeral service at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home in 2016 and was very impressed with the beautiful facilities and the excellent location next to the 407.When my beloved wife passed away recently, I learned that there is so much more to the Barnes operation. Rick and his partner Brenda guided us through the process with understanding, compassion and consummate professionalism. Options were presented, pros and cons were discussed and every effort was made to plan a visitation and a service in accordance with our wishes. As a result, we were able to get through two of the most difficult days of our lives secure in the knowledge that every detail had been attended to. Family members and friends commented on how beautiful and dignified everything was on both days---exactly as my wife would have wanted it. This provided tremendous comfort to our daughters and to me and we will be forever grateful to Rick and Brenda and their wonderful team.
