Just to give you some context, Mary Brown’s fried chicken is my favourite among all. I don’t eat KFC no more. So it’s only between Jollibee, Popeye’s and Mary Brown’s. I love Mary Brown’s the most because their fried chicken reminds me of KFC’s Original Recipe fried chicken. This was my first time eating from this Mary Brown’s restaurant and the experience is disappointing. Paid $36+ for 8 pieces fried chicken with large side of potato wedges and a single small (they call it medium sized) coleslaw and some silly marshmallow. The price of this meal itself is exorbitant. In Popeye’s for $40 you get 10’pieces chicken, 2 large sides and 4 biscuits. I didn’t mind spending since I enjoy MB’s fried chicken. I got a takeaway. I reached home and was so furious to find all 8 pieces to be extremely tiny out of which two were wings, 4 tiny drumsticks and even the 2 chicken breasts were extremely small. I’ve never eaten such small pieces of fried chicken anywhere in Ontario. Nearly $40 for tiny pieces of chicken is Unacceptable. I’m sadly let down. Their service staff was fantastic and went above and beyond and very courteous too. Unfortunately you’ve lost my business. Never spending a dollar from this Mary Brown’s again.
If you live in Whitby, this is the location to go to! This specific one... Service is the best and food is always top notch. Recently ordered for a large family picnic and they were so helpful, timely and generous! Even helped load the car and provided the perfect amount of plates and condiments. Chicken was great as always. Thank you!
