Been here a few times now. My most recent experience was not too pleasing in regards to food quality. It was a bit too salty and very little meat in the lunch special, far too much potato’s used as a filler.
Just finished a spicy chicken roti that I picked up earlier. Outstanding and on par with the best I've ever had. I will definitely be back. Recommended!
Walked into this place hearing a Man screaming and yelling at the staff for not telling him he needed to stock up on salt. Sounds like an abusive place to work. Will never return. Food was horrible ordered Roti was all mush looks like it was frozen potatoes. Yes they need salt!!! Worse 17.00 ever spent. Offered to make me a new one No Thanks!
4.7 stars!! The only reason I didn’t give this doubles 5 stars is because I am a doubles snob and have eaten from the best doubles stands in Trinidad but everything about this doubles was so near perfect, I have no critique. It’s definitely the best doubles I’ve had in Durham and I’m looking forward to my next time to try the roti.
Terrible service. Phone often is not picked up. Food is mediocre at best. There are better places but they are not close unfortunately will never eat here again.
Instead of an Indian roti the girlfriend wanted a Caribbean roti. She said it was very good but I didn't get a chance to try it so I'll reserve a full 5 stars until I do. What I did like though is that they have a small and a large size depending on your hunger level!
I would like to say i enjoyed the food however I did not even taste it. Wanted jerk chicken roti - told 20 min wait, didn't have time so opted for boneless chicken roti. Service was excellent however in the time it took me to get back to work at king and Thornton, I parked my car, grabbed my purse and the paper bag my roti was in and didn't even make it out of my car when the bottom of the bag broke and the roti fell on the ground and splattered. I was so upset, it smelled delicious, but wasn't drained properly and the juices even left a puddle on my front passenger seat - good thing I have leather seats. Either better draining of juice is needed or stronger wrap and bags. I may try again but eat there if I have time. I was very disappointed at the wasted food and money and that I had no lunch
